Jennifer graduated from RMIT in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion.  she worked in various design rooms before leaving full time employment to start a family.  She now has three beautiful children and has been employed on a casual/part time basis with a variety of firms over the years as well as working privately designing and making wedding and formal wear.

 

In 2009 Jennifer set up "Soul Stitches" sewing classes in order to be able to teach others the wonderful art of being creative through sewing.

 

The youngest student she has taught was 6 years old and the oldest (who continued for many years on a weekly basis) was 76!!!

The common desire for all Jennifer's students is to express their creativity, at the same time learning a new skill and finishing up with a quality finished piece to be proud of.

 

Jennifer is regularly updating her skills, researching new techniques, fabrics and resources. She enjoys being creative and as often as she can will take classes to develop her skills further. She has completed courses in fabric dying, felting, fashion drawing,  pattern making/fitting techniques,  screen printing and more.
